Program in Atmospheres, Oceans and Climate
PROGRAM CHAIR
Susan Solomon
The Program in Atmospheres, Oceans and Climate (PAOC) is the academic research program within EAPS dedicated to the study of atmospheric science, oceanography and climate science.
PAOC is engaged in some of the most intellectually challenging and societally important problems in science, such as the study of present and past climates on Earth and other planets. PAOC involves many scientific disciplines, including physical and chemical oceanography, atmospheric dynamics and chemistry, and biogeochemistry. In all areas PAOC emphasizes the synthesis of theoretical, observational, and modeling approaches.
