Suzanna Clark
Graduate StudentI am interested in bio-physical interactions and the impact of human activity on the ocean environment. My thesis research will focus on physical controls on harmful algal blooms (HABs) in the Gulf of Maine. Specifically, I am interested in why the genus Pseudo-nitzschia is becoming increasingly prevalent in the Gulf of Maine, and whether this is a regime shift or a short abnormality. I will use a combination of hydrographic data, species samples, and models to address this question.
