Oaklin Keefe

Graduate Student

Research Description

Oaklin Keefe is a graduate student in the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Joint PhD Program. Oaklin is in the Physical Oceanography department at WHOI, and Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences department at MIT. Oaklin is working with Dr. Seth Zippel to study air-sea interaction. Air-sea interactions are heavily influenced by waves, wave breaking, and turbulent processes in the upper ocean, and these processes ultimately are important for prediction of weather, climate, and sea state. When Oaklin is not in the lab, they like to sail, play ice hockey, and forecast weather for water sports.
