Research Description

I am a 3rd year PhD student working with Dr. Nori Nakata. My research interest is in induced earthquakes, near-surface structure characterization and temporal monitoring.
I am currently working on three projects:

(1) Using Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) for monitoring changes in the structure and characterizing microearthquake sources.
(2) Earthquake source characterization in heterogeneous near-surface structure using dense array.
(3) Analyzing the deformation mechanisms at the brittle-plastic transition using acoustic emission in the laboratory.
