Cassandra Seltzer

Graduate Student

Cassandra Seltzer is a first-year Geophysics graduate student in the Peč lab. She studies solid and partially molten rock deformation behavior under mid- to lower-lithospheric pressure and temperature conditions. She is interested in the application of her experimental results to broader questions of rock behaviors at larger scales, both on Earth and extraterrestrially. Before coming to MIT, Cassandra studied Earth Science & History at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and interned at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Planetary Geodynamics Lab.
