Alexandra Cabanelas is a PhD student in the MIT-WHOI Joint Program working with Dr. Heidi Sosik and Dr. Joel Llopiz. She is involved in the Northeast U.S. Shelf Long-Term Ecological Monitoring Research (NES LTER) project. Her research focuses on understanding how changes in lower trophic levels (e.g. zooplankton) influence the spatiotemporal distributions, foraging behavior, and abundance of forage fish.
