The Reuters Hot List

This is the Reuters list of the world’s top climate scientists. To build it, we created a system of identifying and ranking 1,000 climate academics according to how influential they are.

"This series tells the stories of the scientists who are having the biggest impact on the climate-change debate – their lives, their work and their influence on other scientists, the public, activists and political leaders." Included in the list were MIT EAPS Research Scientist Andrei Sokolov and Professors Kerry Emanuel, Susan Solomon, and Ron Prinn. Also ranked were MIT CEE Professor Elfatih Eltahir, and MIT Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change members John Reilly, Sergey Paltsev, And Kenneth Strzepek.
