Under sunny skies, MIT was honored to have Tim Cook, Chief Executive Officer of Apple, as the guest speaker for its 2017 Commencement Exercises.

The Institute conferred eight Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences bachelors degrees, five masters degrees, and 38 doctoral degrees, of which, in a bumper year, 22 were awarded to members of the MIT-WHOI joint program.
