EAPS is delighted to share the news that Melody Abedinejad, the administrator for the Bosak, Boyle, Summons, Ono, and McGee Labs based in E25 has been awarded a 2016 Infinite Mile Award. The Infinite Mile Award recognizes School of Science staff members who have gone "above and beyond" their required duties. In addition to a cash prize, awardees will be honored with a luncheon in April.

Fully thirty members of the E25 Community in the Dept. of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences signed Ms. Abedinejad letter of nomination, including the five professors she supports Tanja Bosak, Edward Boyle, Roger Summons, Shuhei Ono, and David McGee, as well as postdocs Dr. Francois Tissot, Dr. Mirna El Daye, Dr. Mihkel Pajusalu, Dr. Xiaolei Liu, Dr. Shane O'Reilly, Dr. Yenny Gonzalez Ramos, Dr. Ainara Sistiaga, junior researchers Dr. Ben Hardt, Ana de Santiago Torio, Irit Tal, and graduate students Christine Y. Chen, Danielle Gruen, Christopher Kinsley, Gabriela Serrato Marks, Emily Matys, Kelsey Reed Moore, Simone Beatrice Moos, Sharon Newman, Jeemin Rhim, David T. Wang, and Ross H. Williams. Former members Dr. Christopher T. Hayes, Dr. Eoghan Reeves, Dr. Elena Steponaitis, and Dr. Andrew Whitehill also signed the letter of nomination.

"As scientists, we are often burdened by our long working hours, and forget that breaks are not only good for us, but also quite necessary for our mental health and long-term productivity. Through her positivity and warm personality, Melody encourages us to not only take a break, but also have a bit of fun at the same time. Since Melody began her employment, the floor has become a very pleasant place to work," said Prof. Tanja Bosak.

Congratulations on this well deserved award and thanks to everyone who took the time to see that Melody was nominated.
