Prof. Leigh (Wiki) H. Royden has been selected as the 2011 George P. Woollard Awardee by the Geophysics Division for her "major contributions to the study of geologic processes through quantitative geophysical modeling."

Prof. Leigh (Wiki) H. Royden of MIT has been selected as the 2011 George P. Woollard Awardee by the Geophysics Division for her "major contributions to the study of geologic processes through quantitative geophysical modeling". Royden is Professor of Geology and Geophysics and Chair, Program in Geology and Geochemistry. Particular interests include regional geology and geophysics and the mechanics of large-scale continental deformation.
