EAPS Undergraduate Degree Requirements

Bachelor of Science:

In order to pursue a major in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences, undergraduate students must choose one of the Department’s four areas of concentration:

Geoscience
Environmental Science
Atmospheres, Oceans, and Climate
Planetary Science and Astronomy

When you join EAPS as a major you will be asked to choose a concentration. However you will find that it is relatively easy to switch concentrations as your knowledge of the geophysical sciences increases and your interests mature.

Some of our recent graduates have even worked with their advisors to craft a modified list of degree requirements to accommodate interests that span two of the concentration areas.

Minor Options

The Department also offers two minor programs:

Minor in Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences
Minor in Astronomy (Joint with Physics, Course 8)
