EAPS Courses

The EAPS Department has developed a diverse array of undergraduate and graduate courses encompassing all areas of the earth, atmospheric, and planetary sciences. From “Meteorite from Mars Kills Dog: the Inside Story on Planets” to “Seminar in Geophysics: Advanced Methods in Earthquake Location,” the broad scope and volume of EAPS courses makes it possible for students to focus intensely on one area of study or pursue an interdisciplinary course of study across two or more fields of the geophysical sciences.

EAPS faculty also offer special seminars in which the topics are usually offered only once, and change from term to term. View current seminars.

Select courses in the areas of “Atmospheres, Oceans, and Climate” (12.7xx) and “Geological, Geophysical, and Chemical Oceanography” (12.8xx) are taught by faculty at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) as part of our participation in the MIT/WHOI Joint Program.
